Adam Lacko took pole position for race one at the Circuito Jarama this afternoon in his Buggyra International Racing System Freightliner FatFox truck.

The Czech racer headed his 2016 title rival Jochen Hahn by just 0.181s in a tight Super Pole session on the challenging sun-drenched Spanish track.
Lacko, who is 35 points behind Hahn in the title fight, set a best lap of 1m57.953s early in the session. Hahn set a 1m58.061s lap to secure a clear front row start for this afternoon’s race.
Lacko and Hahn were a full second clear of the rest of the field indicating that it will be a straight fight between the pair in race one this afternoon.
Norbert Kiss took his Tankpool24 Racing Mercedes-Benz truck to third on the grid after setting a time of 1m59.169s. He shares the second row of the grid with René Reinert, who was a mere 0.016s behind the reigning champion.
Steffi Halm was half a second behind her Reinert Racing teammate in fifth, while Sascha Lenz continued his good form in sixth place. With just 0.7s covering third to sixth on the grid, the large Spanish crowd will witness some close and spectacular racing this afternoon.
Anthony Janiec in his Lion Truck Racing MAN heads the fourth row of the grid and will have Ellen Lohr for company in her Truck Sport Lutz Bernau entry.
The top ten was rounded out by Frankie Vojtisek (Czech Truck Racing Team) and Jiri Forman in the second Buggyra International Racing System FatFox.
Race one of the penultimate event in the 2016 FIA European Truck Racing Championship is scheduled to start at 15.00 local time.
Hahn heads timed qualifying session
Jochen Hahn also took the fastest time in the qualifying session which formed the top ten Super Pole. The German ace lapped in 1m57.800 to take the quickest time by just under a second from Adam Lacko.
Third and fourth fastest were Anthony Janiec and René Reinert. The top five in the 20-minute session was rounded out by Norbert Kiss.
Making the Super Pole with relative ease also were Steffi Halm, Sascha Lenz and Frankie Vojistek who enjoyed one his best sessions of the season. For Vojtisek in his rebuilt white MAN truck after his large Hungaroring accident it was an especially sweet moment.
The last position to get in to the top ten saw an entertaining battle against the stopwatch between several drivers but it was Ellen Lohr who claimed tenth best time and who secured the final place.
Just missing out was Eduardo Rodrigues in 11th. The truck racing veteran is competing this weekend with his son and grandson – Jose Fernando and Jose Eduardo. His sons finished the session in 13th and 17th position respectively.
Also narrowly missing out was André Kursim in 12th position. The best Spanish entered driver was Pedro Marco who claimed 16th position.
