The German responded to Norbert Kiss’ pace-setting run in the earlier timed practice with a time of 2:02.982 to seal the top spot.
Antonio Albacete in his Truck Sport Lutz Bernau-run MAN will line up alongside Hahn on the first row of the grid for the season curtain-raiser which is due to get underway later today.
Kiss, in his Team Tankpool24 Racing-run Mercedes-Benz truck, ended up third-fastest, despite going fastest of all in Q1.
Rene Reinert, who returned to the FIA ETRC action following a year off, enjoyed a successful session that resulted in fourth-fastest time for the popular German.
Rapid since the early running here at Misano, Ryan Smith qualified his OXXO Hungary Truck Racing Team in fifth place, one place ahead of reigning champion Adam Lacko.
The fourth row of the grid will be shared between Sascha Lenz in SL Trucksport and veteran racer Gerd Körber, who retired from full-time competition at the end of last season but will take part in a partial campaign this year.
Anthony Janiec’s Lion Truck Racing entry went ninth overall, while André Kursim in his new Don’t Touch Racing IVECO truck rounded out the top ten.
Last year’s front-runner Steffi Halm, who moved to Team Schwabentruck from Team Reinert Racing, experienced a tough timed practice session of 2018 resulting in 11th fastest time.
Thomas Robineau went fastest amongst the GRAMMER TRUCK CUP runners and will start from 12th slot on the grid.
